About Me:

My name is Ginger Jackson and I love computers and working on web sites. It is hardly like work for me to sit down at my computer and create something simply amazing, publish it to the web and then sit back so the whole world can see my creation.  The Internet is truly an astonishing place that offers a wealth of information. The sky truly is the limit.

Many may wonder how and why I got into doing web pages. I guess you could say my fascination with computers began far before we ever got our first PC. My father who was an electrical engineer in the Research Triangle Park Area of North Carolina gave me truly my first experience with the wonderment of computers. He brought home this computer that had paper and place to insert the telephone receiver into. Then you called into the mainframe computer at his office and could play this very neat adventure game. He also had this cool computer at his office that could make neat names and designs on these punch cards. Anyhow time passed and my husband and I purchased our first PC. It was hard to step away from it as getting on line for the first time is like entering a world that you knew was out there but knew nothing about

What made me interested in web design? Well soon after purchasing our first PC, I realized how cool it would be to have a place for different family members to reference to see Stephen, my son's growth and a place for them to see pictures of my family and learn about what has been going on with us. I went to some of the free places where you can do web sites. That was fun, but I wanted to create my own format as with a lot of the free programs out there, you are stuck adhering to their formats and such. Being a mostly full time Mother, I bought myself a book on hyper text markup language otherwise known as HTML. This is the special code with which all web pages are made. I learned HTML and actually wrote a page completely in code. After that experience I learned of some software that also functions as a HTML editor and have since learned how to utilize those applications.  It is something I have found to be of interest and really do not mind doing.
